Seattle natives The Royal Bear recorded their debut full-length album Attack at Bear Creek Studios, the legendary converted horse-farm studio with acclaimed producer Ryan Hadlock (The Strokes, Metric, Gossip, Blonde Redhead).

Guitarist Robbie Luna notes, “We arrived the day after Fleet Foxes left and spent 10 days and nights recording in the same amazing space that hosted legends like Soundgarden, James Brown, Foo Fighters, Lionel Richie and The Strokes. Getting to sing in the same microphone that James Brown once sang into was an unreal experience.”

The Royal Bear blends rock riffs with post-punk pop-inspired melodies to make music fun. Their sonic gems are head banging and danceable all at the same time. One listen and you’re humming along, catch them live and you’ll be hooked.

“ …the Seattle band is perfecting their collective sound of pop dance and rock. The Royal Bear’s catchy lyrics and 80’s style beats are intended to break up the sometimes dormant crowds and get people moving. With influences like Joy Division and AC/DC, The Royal Bear is sure to please even the toughest ears.” –Weekly Volcano

“ …their sound definitely claims some classic rock gods as influences. But they also employ equal parts 80’s dance pop and some interesting post-punk guitar lines.” – Matt Ashworth, NadaMucho
