Christina Eichelberger (VP of Digital Media & Artist Relations)

Christina’s career is a classic music industry success story, from publishing a fanzine as a teen to a long stint as National Director at SonyBMG.

Even before she was 15, Christina was attending shows ranging from tiny local clubs to festivals like Glastonbury, Red Rocks, Montreux and Reading. Coupled with writing about music in fanzines and weeklies like Alternative Press and Creative Loafing, while also playing in bands and photographing artists, Christina has always been immersed in music. She then began working at record stores like Wax 'n' Facts, Wuxtry, Turtles and Newbury Comics and moved up to internships at community and college radio like WCLK, WRFG and WRAS.

Thus thoroughly seasoned by age 20, Christina then worked at numerous indie labels and management companies and became known as “the kid with initials", moving from CMR to FMR to APDC to SMM to MD to NAMD, from PGD to BMG to Sony and then finally, SonyBMG.

As National Marketing Director at SonyBMG New Media, she formulated and executed field programs, and developed marketing and sales campaigns for artists in all genres. She’s worked thousands of artists for Arista, Artist Direct, Columbia, Epic, J, Jive, Kinetic, Legacy Recordings, RCA Victor, Rough Trade, Sonic Wave America, Timebomb, V2 and many others. During Christina’s tenure managing the Seattle SonyBMG offices, they won industry awards for being instrumental in breaking artists like Beth Orton, Jeff Black, British Sea Power, Crash Test Dummies, Death In Vegas, Dido, Elbow, Grandaddy, David Gray, Hum, Jem, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Ray LaMontagne, Avril Lavigne, Libertines, Maroon 5, MGMT, My Morning Jacket, Pink, Tegan & Sara, Verve Pipe, Spiritualized, Stereophonics, The Strokes and Tool.

She’s managed marketing and sales staff in six states, coordinated national, international and regional marketing and sales campaigns across multiple platforms, launched scores of developing artists, and worked with a plethora of music legends across every genre.

She’s also been a sought-after panelist at many conferences including but not limited to Bandwidth Music & Technology Conference (Panel Moderator for “Space Age Marketing” and “Independent Labels and the Realities of Turning a Profit”), Rockrgrl, and SXSW Interactive. Christina is also an artist and has contributed her artwork to charitable causes like The Marsha Rivkin Ovarian Cancer Center Ovarian, The American Heart Association, and the Northwest Organization For Animal Help.
