We’re a collective of music industry and tech veterans. We have a diverse and an extraordinary variety of expertise. Here’s a little about each of us:

Amy Bauer (VP of Marketing Sarathan Records / SOS Manager)

Amy started her music career as an intern at indie label Loveless Records, founded by noted tastemaker John Richards of KEXP. Amy then quit her cushy PR day-job for Microsoft to become the General Manager of Loveless. Joining a few years later was Sam Jones, director of Wilco’s I Am Trying to Break Your Heart. While at Loveless, Amy worked numerous PNW notables including Vendetta Red, Carrie Akre (of Hammerbox, Goodness and The Rockfords), The Shackeltons, Voyager One, Los Halos and Tom Brosseau.

Amy also volunteered for KEXP where she created the Community Partnership and Audioasis remote broadcasts that still continue every month. Audioasis broadcasts live performances from some of Seattle’s distinguished music venues with proceeds from the shows going to a local non-profit. Over the years Audioasis shows have featured many artists including Feral Children, Sera Cahoone, Shim, Sky Cries Mary, Smoosh, The Blakes and Thee Emergency.

As if this weren’t enough for one hardworking-dynamo, Amy was also the creator of SXSeattle, an annual event at SXSW showcasing emerging artists from the Seattle area at the SXSW Festival. Now in its 4th wildly successful year, showcased artists have included Fleet Foxes, Blue Scholars, Cave Singers, The Dutchess and the Duke, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Throw Me the Statue, The Lonely Forest, Fences, and Rocky Votolato.

After Loveless, Amy became Talent Buyer for the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe. Amy was instrumental in booking national touring artists such as Broken Bells, Surfer Blood, Dead Confederate, Temper Trap, Cage the Elephant, Ra Ra Riot and The Thermals.

But the label side of the business beckoned again, and Sarathan was excited to scoop Amy up in August of 2010 as VP of Marketing and General Manager of SOS.
